Vocabul Word Jumble @ Church Park Carnival 2014
Vocabul Jumble (Word Jumble) was represented by our JKL Technologies’ team members as a fun and educational word puzzle game for students of Church Park convent at their carnival 2014. We presented our game to the students for them to pick up their preferred device and try out our game in front of large and appetising crowd. The students when showcasing their English Vocabulary knowledge were also able to present to the fellow students how enjoyable the Vocabul Jumble (Word Jumble) game is.
Church Park Presentation Convent Teachers, Parents, & Children, who themselves are pre-occupied with lots of responsibilities and work of education, had dedicated a lot of time and energy and made the carnival a humongous success. Kudos to the them for their intuitive organisation and helpful guidance for us as well as the children who came to enjoy the Carnival. Stalls were booked by sponsors who created a festive look at the entire school campus, and made merry as children thronged to enjoy games, food, time-pass and pure fun. Our focus was to put the students in front of our various tablet devices to demo our game as well as let them enjoy our devices for fun.
Our team had put up a banner for Vocabul Jumble (Word Jumble) for all to see and were placed in a strategic manner to distribute brochures of the Game to the students enjoying the carnival. All of our team working on various Vocabul Apps/Games had been present for this marketing venture. Jay, Helen, Precious were involved in handling the stall with live & free demo of the Game to the students. Lawrance, Nancy & Gowtham were involved in canvassing the students to visit the demo stall and get to know the game better. The enthusiastic kids dropped in and were glad to be introduced with the game. They also took shots at solving the word jumble puzzles in both Casual Game Play Mode and V/S Time (Against Time) Game Play Mode.
The amount of students who arrived at the carnival varied between the time @ which the carnival started (9:00 AM) till the time the carnival closed (5:00 PM). Since the carnival started, most of the kids ranging from those from 1st grade to those in the 12th Grade starting pouring in to the carnival items. As all carnivals, the place was packed with fun games, eateries, game arcades, a mechanical Bull Ride, apparell stalls, etc., Very close to us were a team of Parents conducting “Minute To Win It” games with simple house-hold items such as paper cups, peas, water, coins, biscuit packets etc., The games ranged from a mere Rs.10 to Rs.20 for one attempt. The carnival was conducted to raise funds for a good-cause, hence, the students and parents were very generous in their demeanour. As said earlier, the kids were willing to pay handsome money while playing Vocabul Jumble (Word Jumble) with our demo devices.
We were able to market our game to a great extent and we are planning to attend various such events in the future for more coverage and reach to our target audience. Its a good awareness package for the parents and kids to know such apps/games exist in the Google Play market. We believe our first hand experience from such users is going to help improve our game play as well into providing better experience.
