Happy Republic Day to all Indians
I am proud to be an Indian. Whether we live in India or abroad, I have always felt that we have an affinity to enjoy our Roots. With our varied Heritage, Culture, People & Treasures which no other country can boast off, we are unique. It is difficult to run a Democratic country with a single unified language, religion, etc., (look at one of the largest democracies, USA), but with such varied culture, talent, languages, religions, races, our differences have only united us more. Unity in Diversity is a wonderful thing to say, but to breathe it, live it and experience it day after day after day is such a glorious feeling that no one can relate to than Indians.
To all that Indian feeling this day, Jan 26th 2014, is the day we made the world realize what we are. We as a nation were defined by our Constitution which was both inclusive and liberating for our people. It defined what being a Citizen is and what being an Indian is. It was not easy, for our fore-fathers wrote a constitution which was as traditional as India and as accommodating and forward thinking as our dear country has become and will be for more years to come than we could ever imaging.
This was the day where our constitution was made into effect and this was the day that we as a country arrived at the international arena, after all the difficulties we faced as a colonized country. The way created by our fore-fathers has been mended and grown and improvised and made relevant for more years to come.
