We at JKL Technologies wish all of you a Happy Pongal for the year of 2019.

What is Pongal?

Pongal is a Thanksgiving Festival of the land of Tamils, Tamil Nadu. Here we celebrate the completion of year long farming with a bountiful Harvest and celebrate the Pongal festival as a Thank You to the Gods.

Tamils have a unique way of Thanking the Gods, Thanking the Animals, Tools which helped in the bountiful Harvest and also Thanking all the relatives who helped them through the year.

A week of celebrations ensue and three days take precedence. The Pongal day itself, this time it is on Jan 15th 2019. The Maattu Pongal day, celebrating the Bullocks and other animals which helped in the harvest. And the Kaanum Pongal day; visiting, communing with and thanking the relatives.

Pongal is not unique – but the way it is celebrated is unique in our own Tamilian way.
